Background

There is ample opportunity for young Bumiputera graduates to venture in the business and choose entrepreneurship as their preferred career. Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) is pleased to invite Bumiputera graduates to become entrepreneurs who will contribute significantly towards the development of Bumiputera entrepreneur intellectuals. In regard to this, PUNB provides a special entrepreneurial package namely PROSPER Siswazah aimed at inspiring, guiding and developing young Bumiputera graduates to be entrepreneurs in the retail sector.

Objective

· To provide Bumiputera graduates with skills and knowledge for them to venture  in  retail and distribution business.

· To assist Bumiputera graduates to embark on retail and distribution business through structured and systematic development mechanism.

PROSPER Siswazah Entrepreneurial Package

1) Loan Facility 

This scheme offers 2 types of packages for loan facility which are based on Syari'ah principle, Qard Al-Hasan. They are:

Package A 
Provides  a loan facility from RM5,000 to RM50,000 for sole proprietorship, partnership or a Sdn Bhd business. The entrepreneur must provide a  minimum capital of RM 500 for each project. The repayment period for the loan  ranges from 3 to 7 years. 

Package B
Provides a loan facility from RM 50,001 to  a  maximun of  RM 100,000 for partnership or a Sdn Bhd  business. Each  entrepreneur  must provide a  minimum capital of RM 500 for each project. The  repayment period for the loan  ranges from 5 to 7 years. 

II) Business Sevices
Both loan  packages A and B  come intact with the business services comprising  pre-operation advisory ,  monitoring of accounts ,  business advisory  and training . These value add services will be rendered by PUNB throughout  the loan period and is chargeable  at a nominal rate on  monthly basis.

Target graduate
· Bumiputera graduate who possess at least a diploma from higher learning institutions recognised by the Government.
· Not more than 33 years old in age on the day of registration.
· Each entrpreneur is able to finance a minimum capital of RM500
· Willing to attend all programmes organised by PUNB

Business
· 100%  owned and managed by Bumiputera entrepreneur.
· New and expanding business.

Application Process

1. Participant registers via PROSPER registration form
2. Participant attends Entrepreneurial Suitability Assessment Session
3. Participant attends Business Proposal Course for 3-days (RM 50 fees)
4. Participant presents the business proposal
5. Approval of the financing.
6. Participant attends Basic Entrepreneurial Course for 4-days
